What JobForte stores

Your resume is never stored on our servers. It lives in your browser for the duration of your session and is used only to generate analysis when you request it. Clearing your browser storage removes it entirely.

Your job applications, fit analyses, and cover letters are stored in JobForte's database to enable cross-device access. This data is linked to your account (identified by email address) and retained for 90 days from your last login. If you do not log in for 90 days, this data is automatically and permanently deleted.

Any credits you have purchased are held for 12 months from your last login. If you return within that window and sign in with the same email address, your credits will be intact. After 12 months of total inactivity, your account and any remaining credits are permanently and automatically deleted.

We store your email address to identify your account and to send service-related notifications (such as a reminder before your data is purged). We do not use your email for marketing without your explicit consent.

If you sign up via a referral link, we store a reference to the referring account in our database. This association is used solely to award the referrer a credit when you complete your first analysis, after which it is deleted. We do not share any personal data with the referrer. They are not told who followed their link.

What leaves your device

When you run a fit analysis or generate a cover letter, the following data leaves your browser:

• To JobForte's servers: your resume text and the job description, to process your request and store the result in your account.
• To Anthropic's API: your resume text and the job description, to generate the analysis or cover letter. Your email address and account details are never included in API calls.

Payment processing

Credit pack purchases are processed by Stripe. When you complete a purchase, your payment details are handled directly by Stripe. JobForte never sees or stores your card number, expiry date, or CVV. Stripe may retain transaction records as required by financial regulations. See Stripe's privacy policy for details.

Anthropic's data handling

JobForte uses the Anthropic API. Anthropic does not train its models on API request data. Anthropic may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for trust and safety review, after which they are deleted. See Anthropic's privacy policy for details.

Authentication

JobForte uses passwordless email authentication. When you log in, we email you a one-time code via Cloudflare Email Service. JobForte stores your email address in its own database to identify your account and link your job data to you. The login form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-preserving bot check; see Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

Cookies, analytics, and tracking

JobForte sets one first-party session cookie to keep you signed in for up to 90 days. It is strictly necessary for the service, contains no tracking identifiers, and is not shared with third parties. No other cookies are set.

JobForte uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first, cookieless measurement tool, to monitor site performance and to identify and mitigate abuse. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not follow you across sites. JobForte does not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking of any kind.

Data retention

Job data (applications, analyses, cover letters) is retained for 90 days from your last login. We will email you a reminder at 75 days and a final notice at 85 days. After 90 days of inactivity, job data is automatically and permanently deleted.

Any credits you have purchased are held for 12 months from your last login. After 12 months of total inactivity, your account and any remaining credits are permanently deleted. We send a farewell email when job data is removed explaining the credit retention window.

You can export your results at any time using the print/export feature on any job.

Your rights and data deletion

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. If you are in the EEA, UK, or California, these rights are guaranteed under GDPR Article 17 and the CCPA respectively.

To exercise these rights:

• Delete job data only: available in account settings. Removes all your jobs, analyses, and cover letters while preserving your account and unused credits.
• Delete your account: available in account settings, or email contact@spiritlaketech.com. Removes your account, all associated data, and any unused credits. Irreversible.

We will respond to deletion requests within 30 days.
